Well, duh! The armed citizens were there for the whole thing and know what happened. The cops just showed up 30 seconds ago.
The cops also show up 45-60 minutes after you call them on average, so they’re having to piece together what happened 44-59 minutes ago, when the actual crime happened. Shouldn’t be too hard, there’s plenty of bodies as evidence.
